veni, vidi, vino.

This is nothing more than a random collection of my thoughts and ramblings, plus some things I find interesting... and now mainly a travelogue of my adventures in Florence.

I'm a film major and an art minor. I'm currently studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I love cake, baby animals, and awkward photos. Theater is my passion, film is my love, and photography is the whore I like to pimp out on a semi-regular basis.

Venice was way super fun! We didn’t end up getting to meet up with Lauren, but I had a great time with Nick and Ben. We saw snow on the train over (day trip to Monterenzio to play in the snow, anyone?), ate a delicious pizza lunch, spent about 2 hours trying to find the perfect masks, then proceeded to begin day-drinking in a sketchy alley next to a canal. We attempted to go churching (too long of a line), lost people several times, chased the mascots, stalked children in animal suits, tricked waiters who wanted to serve us food, ate a delicious dinner and managed to make it back to our train. Our connection in Bologna ended up being delayed, and the station proceeded to frustrate us by not having free bathrooms, having a McDonalds that was a little too hard to find (then overcrowded) and the police stopping us and checking our passports. But it all ended up being okay, because we found a cafe that let us use their bathroom, the police decided we were okay to be in Florence, I got to throw a snowball at a very drunk Ben, and we saw a homeless guy piss himself. My only regret - I never got my cono. Vaffanculo, long line at McDonalds. Go fuck yourself… formally.

Valentine’s Day was very fun with a dinner at the girls’ place, then a Skype date that lasted until an ungodly hour. Now I need to work on getting un-sick before Paris this weekend! That fourteen hours of sleep today was a good start.
